Rajinikanth enters the 1000 crore club in India post-COVID!
In the post-COVID era, Thalaiva has had five theatrical releases so far, including his latest action-comedy thriller. It started with Annaatthe, which did business of 106.77 crore net. It was followed by a money-spinner, Jailer. It raked in a massive 348.55 crore net. His third release was Vettaiyan, and it earned 146.89 crore net. His Coolie, although underperformed, amassed 285.01 crore net. The total of these four films stands at 887.22 crore net.
Rajinikanth’s latest release, Jailer 2, has completed a 3-day run and has managed to score 144.6 crore net. So, with this latest action-comedy thriller, his post-COVID total stands at a solid 1031.82 crore net at the Indian box office. As we can see, the superstar has surpassed the 1000-crore milestone.

Rajinikanth becomes Kollywood’s second star to earn 1000 crore net post-COVID
As we can see, the grand total of Rajinikanth in the post-COVID era stands at 1031.82 crore net in India. With this, he has become the second star in Kollywood (as a main lead) to enter the 1000 crore club in net collections, after Thalapathy Vijay. Currently, Vijay is the highest-grossing Kollywood star in India post-pandemic, with 1100.71 crore net, a record that will be easily surpassed by Thalaiva in the next two days.
With Jailer 2 going strong, the superstar is likely to achieve the 1200 crore milestone as well, becoming the first Kollywood star to do so.
