After Bhediya, Varun Dhawan is all set to redeem himself at the Indian box office with Baby John. The action thriller is arriving in theatres on December 25, 2024, coinciding with Christmas. Directed by Kalees, Baby John is the Hindi adaptation of Atlee’s Theri, a 2016 Tamil film starring Thalapathy Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead. Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh play the leading pair. The supporting cast features Wamiqa Gabbi, Zara Zyanna, Sheeba Chaddha, and Jackie Shroff. Salman Khan and Sanya Malhotra will be seen in special appearances.

Varun Dhawan
Varun Dhawan took home 7 crores for his role as Bhediya (2022). But he charged a whopping sum of 20 crores for Citadel: Honey Bunny. He’s seen a further pay hike for Baby John, as he was reportedly paid 25 crores.

This means VD has witnessed a 257% hike compared to his last theatrical release as the leading actor in Bhediya.
Keerthy Suresh: 4 crores
It is to be noted that Keerthy Suresh is making her debut in the Hindi films with Kalees’ directorial. As per multiple reports, she’s taking home 4 crores, higher than the 3 crore salary she reportedly charges per film in the South. It is also on par with what Kiara Advani, Janhvi Kapoor, and the new faces of Bollywood are earning today.
Jackie Shroff
Jackie Shroff recently gained praise for his appearance in Singham Again as the antagonist, Omar Hafiz. He reportedly took home a sum of 2 crores for Rohit Shetty’s film. His remuneration for Baby John is slightly lower as he reportedly settled for 1.5 crores.
Sanya Malhotra
For her special appearance, Sanya Malhotra is rumored to be taking home a hefty sum of 1 crore. Her fee is much better than what Waqima Gabbi and Sheeba Chaddha are earning for Baby John. Is it the Jawan effect? Looks like it!

While Waqima Gabbi is being paid 40 lacs, Sheeba Chaddha is reportedly charging 20 lacs for her supporting role.
Salman Khan
A report by Pinkvilla previously claimed Salman Khan is doing a cameo for Baby John free of cost. A source close to the development revealed, “Salman Khan shares a very healthy bond with Murad Khetani, is a mentor figure for Varun Dhawan, and is teaming up with Atlee for his next in 2025. All it took was a call for Salman to say yes for the cameo. The Baby John team also has immense respect for Salman Khan – the superstar and Salman Khan – The human, and have created a sequence that celebrates his presence and respects his time.”
