Sara Ali Khan, who is just three films old in the industry, already has a lineup of exciting projects. Many big directors want to work with the budding actress and Sara too is all games to essay challenging roles on the big screen. But has this busy work life ever felt hectic to Sara? The actress shares anecdotes of how she sometimes wants to quit certain narrations that come her way.
During a conversation with comedy group East India Comedy, Sara was asked about the number of scripts that have come her way till date. She responded with a hilarious answer and said, ” Well, five worthy of remembering, because I am doing five films.” She went on to narrate how she wanted to escape a lengthy narration but couldn’t because of her mother.
“There was this one time. I am not going to say much…because he said so much! I went to the restroom with my phone, three hours in, and I told my mom, ‘Look, I know that we are all professional and we should be thankful for these opportunities… But can I pretend to have a cardiac arrest? Is that allowed?’ She said no, so I asked, ‘Should I faint? Should I throw up? What do I do?’ She told me that I have to go back with professionalism and continue till the end.”
Sara had to then go back and sit for the lengthy narration because her mother had asked her to. The narration ended up spreading for more than five hours. “Anyway, five and a half hours later, I went back home and I told my mother, ‘I really hate you right now. I don’t want to talk, I don’t want to hear and I don’t want to do anything. I just want to sleep,’” she said.
