Sabbir Khan is gearing up for some of the most exciting days ahead in his life. With the casting of ‘Heropanti’ almost coming to a close and starring Tiger Shroff in the lead role, the Sajid Nadiadwala production goes on floors early next year.
No wonder, Sabbir is bubbling with excitement, more so since the film has an entirely different scene and setting when compared to his debut effort ‘Kambakkht Ishq’.
“Yes, I’m in an altogether different space”, agrees Sabbir, ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ was a romcom set in a very urbane world where, despite the fact that Akshay’s character was a stuntman, there was no real fighting. On the other hand ‘Heropanti’ is a different film. It is a love story with quite some gritty, real action. Having someone like Tiger helps since he is exceptionally good in action. Also, he is one of the best gymnasts in the country today and has trained extensively in the Martial Arts.”
Meanwhile there is a lot of speculation about the girl in ‘Heropanti’ as there were hush-hush talks about Tamannaah Bhatia being the chosen one as the leading lady.
“Yes the right word actually is ‘speculation'”, smiles Sabbir, “We’ve met and auditioned a lot of girls from all over the country and they are all extremely beautiful and talented in their own rights and then there is finding just the right person in relation to the script and the character. I’d be very happy to let anyone know as soon as we make a decision.”
With Sajid Nadiadwala keeping cards close to his chest when it comes to announcing leading ladies of his films (there is an air of secrecy around Salman’s love interest in ‘Kick’ as well), guess audience would have to wait for a little while before heroine of ‘Heropanti’ is revealed.
