Veteran Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone is hoping that India doesn’t “wreck” the character of Rambo in the upcoming Hindi remake of the popular Hollywood actioner “Rambo”.

Stallone, who starred in the actioner, took to Instagram on Friday night, where he shared a poster of “Rambo“, a film series based on the David Morrell novel “First Blood“.

The “Rambo” franchise first came to life in 1982 with “First Blood“, which minted over $125 million worldwide. It was followed by a number of successful remakes, including the latest one in 2008, which earned $113 million globally.

The remake, which will star Tiger Shroff, will be directed by Siddharth Anand and co-produced by M! Capital Ventures, Original Entertainment, Impact Films and Siddharth Anand Pictures, reports an online portal.

Principal photography for the film is slated to start in February next year, with a release targeted for late 2018. The Indian remake will be given a ‘desi’ twist.

The director feels Tiger “has a power and vulnerability that will make him the next iconic action hero of our time”.

It will follow life of last surviving member of an elite covert unit of the Indian Armed Forces who returns home to discover a war waging in his own land and how he unleashes mayhem by becoming an unstoppable machine after tough training.

Check This Out

  1. Bollywood will certainly create a unique version of Rambo………..With some epic dialogues some songs drama and so on………But to be honest tiger Shroff has a unique physic and will be able to convey suitable respect for this iconic character……#RAMBO#TIGER

  2. No doubt… Tiger shroff takes the ACTION to the next level in Bollywood.
    Tiger… Next generation Super Star!!!
Undoubtedly no body can compete with him in action and Dance.

  3. RAMBO is huge and the Bollywood version will suffer the unfortunate treatment of constant comparison with the original action figure and the movie. On top, Bollywood will incorporate unnecessary stunts and explosions just to make it look grand. But the problem lies with Tiger himself where he has already done so much of show-offs with his stunts and acrobatics. He is a self-proclaimed martial artist. Just by doing kata he has aquired the ranks. The show-off fatigue has already caught Bollywood where he is facing tough competition against Vidyut, who is a better rough-and-tough martial artist :)
