Bollywood actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar are all set to share the screen for the first time in director Abhishek Chaubey’s upcoming film, titled Sonchiriya. Abhishek Chaubey has previously made films like Ishqiya and Udta Punjab, which were highly acclaimed by the critics as well as the viewers. Based on the dacoits of Chambal, the film also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Ranvir Shorey in supporting roles. The cast has already started shooting for the film in Chambal and we frequently see the stars of the film, sharing pictures from their shooting location.
Here’s the first look of Sushant Singh Rajput from the film. A closer look into the picture helped us recognise the man in this picture, who is none other than our very own Sushant, dressed as a dacoit. Shabby, unkempt hair and beard, with a tilak on his forehead, Sushant looks totally into his character. From his body language to expressions, his preparation for the film seems really strong. We will be in wait for the film to release soon so that we can catch more of Sushant in this avatar.
Set in the 1970s, Sushant and Bhumi will apparently play dacoits in the film. A source related to the film had earlier said, “The film is high on emotions and drama. There is a love story as well as a romantic angle between Sushant and Bhumi.”
On the work front, Bhumi Pednekar was last seen in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.Whereas Sushant Singh Rajput is shooting for Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath, which marks Sara Ali Khan’s Bollywood debut.
