Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty’s joint directional venture Satte Pe Satta remake has been in news from a very long time. Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan will be reportedly playing the lead in the remake of 1982 released Amitabh Bachchan starrer.
The latest news related to the remake is if reports are to be believed the makers have approached Taare Zaame Par actor Darsheel Saffary and Telly star Nakkul Mehta for roles of Hrithik’s younger brothers.
However an official confirmation by the makers or actors are yet to be made.
Talking about the original film, Satte Pe Satta had Megastar Amitabh Bachchan in dual roles. As the veteran actor had played roles of Ravi Anand and Babu.
The film revolves around Ravi and his six brothers. The roles of six brothers were played by veteran actors Kanwaljeet Singh, Shakti Kapoor, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Vikram Sahu, Sudhir, and Paintal in the original.
The original had Bollywood’s ‘Dream Girl’ aka Hema Malini in lead opposite Amitabh Bachchan.
However, the female lead for the remake is yet to be finalized. Though there have been names of actresses like Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone doing rounds on being approached for the role of Indu played by Hema in original. But nothing yet has been disclosed by the makers.
The Amitabh Bachchan starrer when released had a great show at the box office, as the film at that time had gained all praises and appreciation by the viewers.
The 1982 release was helmed by Raj N Sippy.
