Equation with Amitabh Bachchan:
Rishi Kapoor always had this one complaint with Amitabh Bachchan that “He has never given due credit to the actors who have worked with him.” He opened about the same in his autobiography Khullam Khulla. Shashi Kapoor (Deewar), Vinod Khanna, Shatrughan Sinha, Dharmendra and he himself (AAA and Coolie) played the other lead role with Amitabh in these films.
Giving us the Shah Rukh Khan we never knew:
When Shah Rukh Khan was earning the tag of ‘King of romance’ Rishi Kapoor gave him his most memorable role in Rahul Mehra from Darr. Rishi Kapoor was offered to play that role but he denied and suggested Shah’s name instead.
The fashion boo-boo:
Once Rishi Kapoor wore a ladies’ trouser while he was shooting for the song ‘O Hansini’ from Zehreela Insaan. The trouser had its zip to the side which he realised it after wearing it. The issue was addressed by the dress man at that time.
