Rakhi Sawant On Her Casting Couch Experience: “Mujhe Bola Mere Sath So Jao, Tumhe Bohot Sara…”

Ever since the MeToo movement started in India, there has been a lot of females from the Bollywood industry who have come out and shared their stories. It started with Tanushree Dutta coming out and speaking about Nana Patekar and her assault story. We spoke exclusively with Rakhi Sawant and asked her if she has faced casting couch in the industry too.

Sharing her story with us, Rakhi said, “Bahot bahot starting me jab me aayi thi me bahot chulbuli thi khatarnak toh abhi bani hu…faltu baat toh ab mujhse koi karega bhi nahi, ab me tang tod ke hath me de dungi ya half murder kar dungi ya full murder kr dungi aur police station me jake baith jaungi video banake ki isne mujhe casting couch ke liye bola mene iska murder kardiya koi objection hai kya!”

She further added, “First of all mujhe koi aisa kuch bolta nahi mujhe behen ke alawa baat nahi karta…Aur jis shooting pe hum kaam karte waha bahot izzat karte hai…Starting me nayi nayi ladki aayi thi toh chulbuli thi nadaan thi bholi thi to itna akal nahi tha par unko kya pata tha ki yeh rakhi sawant tezaab hai, girenge, uske muh lagenge toh jal jayenge unko maloom nahi tha na.”

Furthermore, Rakhi added, “Mere baap ne ek hi baat sikhai thi police wala tha mera baap koi chede toh maar ke aa jana choodane wala main baitha hoon…mere husband ne bhi yehi bola hai ab tu industry me jarhi hai toh tereko koi chede buri baat bole toh thok dena…”

She also went onto reveal the dark side of the industry and spoke about the ‘offers’. She quoted, “Me jab Bollywood me aai mujhe bahot logo ne bola mere sath sojao me tumhe bahot sari films dunga…mene bola, ‘sojao matlab? dinnner pe chalo…me kyu sou? aap mujhe dinner pe bula rahe ho, chalo me dinner pe chalti hu..Tu mere sath soyega toh tu mujhe konsa kaam dega, teri picture konsi hit ho rahi..Aur wo jo aise compromise krne ko bolenge unki konsi hit hongi’.”
