Cricketing legend MS Dhoni has quite been in news for his rustic looks. From those long tresses to donning various styles of beards, Dhoni has been as talked-about off-field, as he is on the field. But, a Bollywood debut opposite Sanjay Dutt? Now, that’s wildly unexpected.
The movie said, is titled as Doghouse and will be backed by Viacom 18 Studios. Sanjay Dutt will be the leading star in this film directed by Samir Karnik (Yamla Pagla Deewana fame). Samir’s last movie was in 2012, Chaar Din Ki Chandni which starred Tusshar Kapoor and Kulraj Randhawa in the lead roles.
According to a source close to Peeping Moon, “Titled Doghouse, the film revolves around three underdogs and will have many big names in lead roles. While Sanju is locked, the filmmakers are still finalizing the other pivotal characters.”
Reports are also there that the makers are in talks with Suniel Shetty, Emraan Hashmi and R. Madhwani to fill in the vacancy of other 2 male lead in the film. As far as MS Dhoni’s role goes, he could be seen doing a cameo in the film. Padmaavat‘s bad guy Jim Sarbh has also been approached to also play the bad guy in Doghouse.
Remember No Country For Old Men? Doghouse is said to be a comical take on this Academy Award(s) winning Crime-Thriller. It sounds a good idea on paper, but it’s to be seen how the makers could pull this off. Sanjay Dutt was seen in last week’s release Prassthanam and he has a very interesting line-up on the cards. From Panipat, Sadak 2, KGF: Chapter 2, to Shamshera, Sanjay has a very interesting mixed bag of films.
