Mohenjo Daro, featuring Hrithik Roshan, will be clashing with Akshay Kumar-starrer Rustom at the box office. But Ashutosh Gowariker, who has directed the former, says both the films should be a superhit.

Asked if the clash is of any concern, Gowariker said: “The thought did come to our mind that the films will clash and box office will get affected, but then even ‘Sholay‘ and ‘Jai Santoshi Maa‘ released on same date and ‘Jai Santoshi Maa‘ was a bigger hit because its cost of recovery was higher.”

“Lagaan and Gaddar had released on the same date too. So, I feel Mohenjo Daro should also work and Rustom should also work. Both the films should be superhits.”

The movies will hit the screens on August 12. It is an epic adventure-romance, set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation.
