They have been seen together more than multiple times and now the news is they will star in a movie together. In the remake of BR Chopra’s Pati Patni Aur Woh, Kartik Aaryan is said to reprise the role of Sanjeev Kumar.
According to a close source to DNA, the movie will retain the original story having a modern touch to it. The source says, “Ananya has been signed on for the Pati Patni Aur Woh remake, which is being produced by Juno Chopra. She will essay the role that was portrayed by Ranjeeta Kaur in the original. The idea is to make it a modern version of the classic with a young cast. The makers wanted someone cute as well as glamorous for the part and she fit the bill. When the script was narrated to her, she was in splits and gave bulk dates, almost immediately.”
Their source also revealed about Kartik being the first choice for the hero’s role, “He was the top contender for the male lead as he’s popular with the youth today. The makers wanted a hero, who has a boy-next-door vibe and is also great with comedy, since it’s a humorous take on extra-marital affairs. So, the Sonu Ke Titu Ke Sweety actor was their first choice. Kartik and Ananya have already done a few readings together.”

The other heroine is yet to get cast but as of now, Kartik and Ananya look perfect on-cards. As far as acting of Ananya is concerned, it will be all clear in Dharma Productions’ Student Of The Year 2 in which she stars opposite Tiger Shroff. Whereas Kartik Aaryan is all set to play some ‘Lukka Chuppi‘ with Kriti Sanon this year.
