Join UsJimmy Sheirgill went all intense in Anurag Kashyap’s Mukkabaaz [2017] where he played the part of a villain with aplomb. While his blood shot eyes were the highlight of the film, one couldn’t miss the action and drama that he brought on screen in a rustic avtar. Something similar is now expected out of him in Family of Thakurganj as well where he steps into the interiors all over again.
“Jimmy is clearly one of the most versatile actors around for more than a couple of decades now. You name the genre and he has been a part of it. With over 90 films to his credit already, he has a lot of experience to show, and this is what is expected to roar the loudest in Family of Thakurganj as well. He would be seen in a very powerful avatar in this Manoj K Jha directed film,” informs our source.
It would be interesting to see how Jimmy comes across on screen, considering the fact that he is coming straight from two back to back comedies.
“He was really adorable as Tabu’s suitor in De De Pyaar De and before that he owned the screen in Sonakshi Sinha’s Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi whenever he appeared on the frame. From his two light hearted acts, Jimmy would be seen in a no-nonsense avtar in Family of Thaurganj which is produced by Ajay Kumar Singh,” the source continues.
Between Mukkabaaz and Family of Thakurganj, Jimmy was also seen as a royalty in Saheb Biwi aur Gangster 3. Though there weren’t many histrionics on display from the actor in the Tigmanshu Dhulia directed film, it is expected that Family of Thakurganj would more than make up for that.

“Jimmy is the main lead in the film and there is a lot that one would see of the actor,” an insider comments, “The film has a quite a few other important character in there and along with them, Jimmy would be leading the charge. His role in the film is as massy as it gets.”
