R Madhavan stirred up social media platforms with one picture of him spreading like a wildfire. The pic which has become a topic of discussion amongst netizens is the one which suggests that he is playing the role of Padma Vibhushan industrialist and philanthropist, Ratan Tata.
Yes, and just like you, we too were excited by hearing the news. The pic around which the entire episode of speculations has risen is the one featuring him on a magazine with ‘Ratan Tata’ written on it. Everyone felt it to be the first look of Madhavan’s upcoming character but now, the RHTDM actor himself has opened up.
Tagging R Madhavan on Twitter, one user wrote, “@ActorMadhavan, Is this true that You are gonna play a lead role in Ratan Tata Biopic?? if this happens it’s gonna be a huge inspiration to many.” To which Maddy replied, “Hey, unfortunately, it’s not true. It was just a wish at some fans will made the poster. No such project is even on the pipeline or being discussed.”

Now, that’s really a sad revelation for all R Madhavan and Ratan Tata fans.
Meanwhile, the actor recently reacted to rumours of a possible sequel to his 2001 release, “Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein”. The film had marked the Bollywood debuts of Madhavan and actress Dia Mirza, and it also starred Saif Ali Khan. “# RHTDM ..Guysss …been reading rumours about the sequel .. and hoping it’s true-cause I have no idea about this.. just praying that someone somewhere has an age-appropriate script for Dia and I -varna ab madhav shastri banna toh hathi ko chaddi pehnane ke barabar hai (playing the role of Madhav Shastri at this age will be like making and elephant wear an underwear),” tweeted R Madhavan, who turned 50 on June 1,” he had tweeted.
However, many fans don’t seem to mind the idea of an ageing Madhav Shastri. They feel only R Madhavan and Dia can bring alive the screen chemistry.
