Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming period film Mohenjo Daro has already landed in legal trouble much before its release. The film is all set to hit the theaters next month and now we hear, the makers have been dragged to court and are being accused of stealing a script.

Writer-director Akashaditya Lama claims that the script of Mohenjo Daro has been written by him. According to reports, Lama claims that he had first discussed the script of the film with Gowarikar in 2002 when the latter mentioned that he was not interested in making a period film.

Lama was shocked to learn in 2010 that the Lagaan director was working on a film based on Indus Valley Civilization. After the announcement, he mailed the director asking him about using his script without informing him.

No replies came from Gowarikar and hence the former approached the court. The matter is currently sub-judice at Bombay High Court and the next hearing will be held on 26th July, 2016.
