Ever since Rohit Shetty & Farah Khan announced collaboration for a ‘Mother of all entertainers’ there have been several speculations around the possible actors in the lead. While it was being earlier said that it could be Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan donning the lead and the movie will be a remake of the cult classic, Satte Pe Satta, now not only have Hrithik Roshan been selected to play the titular role, but even Deepika Padukone has been roped in to play the female lead.
A recent report by Pinkvilla suggests the same, further revealing that both the film-makers wanted to see DP playing the female lead. “Both Farah and Rohit wanted Deepika Padukone in the movie because not only do they love her but she fits the role to the T. When DP debuted, everyone felt she had an uncanny resemblance to Hema ji in terms of her beauty as well. When Farah narrated the story to DP, she loved it and instantly gave her nod,” revealed a source close to the development.
Wow, two amazing actors – best of both worlds coming together with the combination of Shetty & Farah’s skills, what else could we ask for?
On 7th February this year, Farah made the big announcement as she tweeted, “When the Universe conspires to give u what you couldn’t even imagine..excited & Emotional both,to be on this journey with my dearest #RohitShetty ..together with the Lov we hav 4 Films,we will create “the Mother of All Entertainers”!Lov u Rohit. @RSPicturez @RelianceEnt”
While Farah would be directing the project, it will be produced by Rohit Shetty under his banner, Rohit Shetty Picturez.
