Nineteen years ago, Farhan Akhtar made his debut as a director on this day with the film Dil Chahta Hai.
Akhtar’s “Dil Chahta Hai” stars Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kapadia, and the film narrates the story of three young friends in their transition phase of life.
Recalling helming the film, Farhan Akhtar shared a few iconic scenes on Instagram.
“19 years later, Akash, Sid aur Sameer dost the, hai aur hamesha rahenge.. Here’s to the moments that stayed with us, just like their friendship,” Farhan Akhtar captioned the video clip he shared to celebrate Dil Chahta hai’s anniversary.
Meanwhile, Farhan finds getting back to work relief and joy but he also understands the importance of being socially responsible right now.
“Getting back to work is a relief and a joy but given the times we’re in, it’s important to be socially responsible and keep the environment hygienic for the crew and cast. They work to create. We work to keep them safe. #MasksDistanceAction,” Farhan Akhtar tweeted.
Amid the relaxation in lockdown, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan’s production house Excel Entertainment resumed shooting for their next two projects “Hello Charlie” and “Dongri To Dubai” taking all necessary precautions.
