Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt made their Bollywood debut together in Student Of The Year but it was Dulhania series which made them popular as an onscreen couple. Their cute chemistry in the Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania was a highlight and made them one of the most loved on-screen Bollywood couples.
Now there’s an exciting update for the fans of Varun and Alia and those who love Dulhania series. According to Deccan Chronicle report, a third installment of the franchise is being planned as the lead stars are keen to work in the film after Kalank debacle.
Reportedly, after wrapping up Street Dancer 3D, Varun Dhawan met producer and mentor Karan Johar and both of them discussed the project. Deccan Chronicle has quoted a trade source as saying, “There is some talk about a third part. But with the two meetings with KJo, the buzz has become stronger. Barring the odd blemish Kalank Varun and Alia make a fabulous pair on screen,”
Dulhania series has been directed by Shashank Khaitan. First part HSKD released in 2014 and was followed by BKD in 2017. While the first part did a business of 76.81 crores, the follow up hit the century by doing a business of 116.60 crores.
Now if the third part of Dulhania series arrives, it will be nothing less than a festival at the Box Office.
