After the release of Kalank, Alia Bhatt is all set to start shooting for Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2. The film which is the sequel to 1991 film Sadak, also stars Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and brings Mahesh Bhatt as a director after 20 years.

Alia who will be starring in a Mahesh Bhatt film for the first time says she is excited to work with her father. However, she says it won’t be easy for her to work with him.

Talking to PTI, Alia Bhatt said, “It will never be easy as I don’t know him as a director, I know him as a dad. Working with him as a director will be a different ball game altogether. I am excited. It is an exciting film.”

She further added, “My father is very silent on most of the things. But I still don’t know how he will be on the sets.”

Mahesh Bhatt’s last directorial Kartoos released back in 1999. Talking about how he made his mind to come back as the director, Alia said Sanjay Dutt convinced him. She said, “Sanju pushed him this time. I did not. He is my father and he is always unpredictable. He has done the most unpredictable thing of directing a film after a long time.”

Sadak 2 will take the story of Sadak. Alia and Aditya are new additions to it. The film is slated to release on March 25, 2020.
