Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his wife Aaliya’s legal separation is turning out to be the biggest newsmaker. After talking about humiliation, physical and mental abuse by the actor, Aaliya has now opened up about Nawaz’s controversial autobiography and how he thought of himself ‘mahan’. Below is what she has to say.
Back in 2017, Nawazuddin Siddiqui released his autobiography titled An Ordinary Life: A Memoir: Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The actor had revealed a lot of intimate details about his personal life including his extramarital affairs. Later the women mentioned in the book raised their voice against the book. Eventually, the memoir was taken off the shelves and its publishing was shut.
Now while talking about various things that went wrong in their marriage, Aaliya also spoke how she had warned the Ghoomketu actor not to take the step but he did not listen to her.
In a chat with TOI, Aaliya spoke about Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s decision and said, “When a person tries to be smart toh woh ulta pad jata hai (being cunning often backfires). If you are truthful then maybe the world would accept you. You wrote about your girlfriend and affairs, I told him not to write about someone’s personal life and we have also fought over it but he believes that at times, such things make you ‘mahan’ (great). They don’t make you ‘mahan’ but your character is revealed.”
Meanwhile, it was recently when Aaliya made the shocking revelation that not just Nawazuddin Siddiqui but his family too humiliated her on several occassions. She also spoke about how Nawazuddin demeaned her in front of his friend and award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee.
