Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl may not have been very much appreciated but it, nevertheless, managed to net a few lakhs less than Rs. 25 crore in its first week. It netted Rs. 4.75 crore on the first day, picked up on Saturday and Sunday, after which the decline started. Still, a total of Rs. 25 crore is truly good for an Anushka Sharma-Ranveer Singh starrer. Given the total investment of Rs. 25-26 crore, a first week’s share of around Rs. 13 crore from India is very good.
The non-theatrical revenues would easily be Rs. 16-18 crore, making the film profitable. However, a long run at the cinemas is ruled out as the reports aren’t very encouraging. The film, therefore, is expected to fetch commission or, at best, a little overflow. Its performance in the Overseas circuit was okay.
