Amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, people have quarantined themselves in their homes as per the government imposed lockdown. During this house-arrest, the television channels are banking upon the nostalgia of old classic shows like Ramayan, Mahabharat, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai and Shaktimaan to name a few. Along with these shows, popular comedy sitcom Ashok Saraf led Hum Paanch is also said to be returning to the small screen.
According to a report in Bombay Times, the show featuring talented actors like Ashok Saraf, Priya Tendulkar, Rakhi Vijan, Vandana Pathak and Vidya Balan, is all set to make a comeback from April 13.
However, when we contacted veteran actor Ashok Saraf regarding the show’s comeback, he said, “I have no idea if the show is coming back, nobody told me so. I have not heard it from anybody that it is coming back.” When asked if he would love to show back on TV, he said, “Yes, of course I would love to watch it again. It should come back as it was a wonderful comedy show and it’s always a pleasure watching your own shows on TV.”
Further speaking about how he is spending his time during quarantine, the actor told us, “Just like everybody else, I’m sitting at my home spending time watching films and TV shows. As an actor I love to see new films and which actor is doing what.”
