RRR: Emma Roberts Replaces Daisy Edgar-Jones In SS Rajamouli’s Magnum Opus?

SS Rajamouli’s RRR has been making the news for the longest time as it is one of the grandest films to be made in the industry, budgeted at around 350-400 crores. The film revolves around two fictional freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR. Ajay Devgn is also playing an important role in the film.

Meanwhile even British actress Daisy Edgar-Jones, who was selected to play a key role in the patriotic drama exited. She was to be paired as Jr NTR’s love interest. Now if the latest reports are to be believed then American actress Emma Roberts has roped in for Daisy’s role. She made her debut in the crime drama Blow as Kristina Jung.

It’s been reported that Rajamouli is in the US and the talks with actress’ team are on. A look test is also up on the schedule, however, an official confirmation has not yet been given. RRR is slated to hit the screens on 30th July 2020 and to be released in Telegu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam. A source previously confirmed the news to an entertainment portal and said, “Ajay will be playing father to actor Ramcharan. The shoot of the film is going on in film swing as of now in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Filmcity!”

“He wasn’t sure because the part is not very long. It is almost like an extended cameo and he wasn’t sure about doing it. But after a narration from Rajamouli, he got excited. It was also one reason why Ajay initially had given a statement saying he wasn’t doing the film at all. Things worked out eventually,” the source added.
