Ticket windows will witness a fusion of Bollywood and Down South with the release of S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR. With some huge stars like N.T. Rama Rao, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn being a part of this magnum opus, we know there’s definitely a blockbuster on the cards, but Ram Charan’s big sacrifice for something, which is grabbing the eyeballs currently. The superstar has let go of a 500 crore budget movie, can you believe it?
Recently, Nitesh Tiwari & Ravi Udyawar announced their directorial project, Ramayana 3D, which is being made on a budget of 500 crores. According to a report by Filmibeat, Ram was approached for the project but he rejected it for RRR. “Ram Charan was approached by the makers of the upcoming big budget venture Ramayana but the actor rejected the offer since he is very much busy with the works of RRR. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding this by the team of the film,” revealed the report.
Now that’s the kind of dedication probably every film-maker would want for their projects but not everyone is Ram Charan!
Meanwhile, Ramayana 3D will be produced by Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind and Namit Malhotra, the project has been a work in progress for the past three years.
“Ramayana will be made with actors from Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and Punjabi film industries as the makers are targeting a pan-India as well as global audience,” read a statement.
The team is yet to take a call on the filming and the release plan, but they are hoping to kick off the project next year and are targeting a 2021 release for Part 1, promising that there won’t be too long a gap between other two instalments.
