Just five days before its release, the makers of the Telugu film Crazy Kalyanam have unveiled the trailer. The film, starring VK Naresh, Anupama Parameswaran, Tharun Bhascker, and Akhil, promises to be a riot, with a wedding at the center of the chaos. Moreover, the film appears to be a light-hearted drama that is perfect for the festive season and suitable for family viewing.
The trailer introduces the film’s primary characters, starting with Balaraju (Tharun Bhascker). He does not have a job and spends his evenings getting drunk with his friends. However, by day, he becomes a God-fearing person and lives with his father-in-law (VK Naresh). Disappointed with Balaraju’s ways, his father-in-law promises to find a decent groom for his younger daughter (Anupama Parameswaran). He has just one condition: the groom must be nothing like Balaraju. While her father sets out to find a suitable match for her, she has already found a partner of her own.
Anupama plays a strong and quirky character in the film. She knows her mind and is clear about what she wants. However, when her father arranges her marriage to someone working in the United States, she tries various ways to escape the situation. As a result, the trailer offers several hilarious moments, along with a few tense ones.

What stands out is that, in the battle of male egos, Anupama’s character does not lose her voice. She is not treated as someone who lacks agency over her own life and marriage decisions. However, she also respects others’ emotions. The trailer itself makes a compelling case for the premise, and the film seems like an entertaining package.
Akhil Uddemari’s (Anupama’s partner) character is more or less a mystery throughout the trailer, and it will be interesting to watch him in the film. The film brings the vibrant energy of a wedding and the chaos that comes with it. It seems high on emotion and energy, promising a fun-filled ride perfect for the festive season.
The combination of comedy, romance, and festive energy makes Crazy Kalyanam a promising Dasara release. Produced by Boosam Jagan Mohan Reddy under the Arrow Cinemas banner as Production No. 2, the film is directed by Badrappa Gajula and features music by Suresh Bobbili. It is scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on October 16.
