It came as a shocker when yesterday we learnt that WWE has fired many of the talented wrestlers as a measure to cut down on the expenditure during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The list comprises some big names like Kurt Angle, Rusev, Zack Ryder and others. As soon as the news came in, fans described it as the ‘Saddest day in the history of WWE’. After fans now, superstars like Mick Foley, Bray Wyatt, Kurt Angle too have reacted on the latest developments.
The wrestling stars took to social media to share express their feelings about the wrestlers who are being fired without their fault. Bray Wyatt wrote, “Yuck”, which was enough to portray his emotion on such action taken by the company. Becky Lynch wrote, “Today is a tough day for all of us in and who love this business. When this hardship is over, I hope we’re all reunited working together to make some magic in front of the fans who make it all worthwhile.”

My best to all who, like me, lost their jobs today. To those still on the job, hold down the fort for us. It was my pleasure to work with you all these past 4 month. I hope we will all get a chance to work together again. Stay strong, stay safe.

It’s a very sad day for wrestling. My heart goes out to everyone who has been released. With no independent scene, due to this virus, it’s going to be far more difficult for these dedicated superstars to land on their feet. https://t.co/WhlNNBv9HR

I know everyone is waiting to hear my response to my release from WWE but after 16 years I’m going to need a little more than a few hours to really digest all my thoughts and emotions. For now, thank you all for all of your kind words and support during this time.

The only thing I wanted to do in life was wrestle. I’m grateful I spent 14 years living my dream in WWE. Thanks to my fans & everyone who believed in me. As I was getting released, I was looking at this photo & smiling. I’m #AlwayzReady & beyond excited for the future. #NotThere pic.twitter.com/uKRVK7FboI
