Stranger Things, without any doubt, is one of the most successful shows on Netflix. The Millie Bobby Brown starrer is loved for its fantasy world, and the fourth season of the show is much awaited. Now, as we head towards the season 4, let’s go back to the most loved fight on the show between Eleven and Billy.
A quick recap, in Stranger Things Season 3, we all saw Billy played by Dacre Montgomery being taken over by The Mind Flayer. This led to the edge of the seat showdown between Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven and Billy near the swimming pool.
The fight sequence is to date a favourite amongst fans. How Eleven used her superpowers to tame the Mind Flayer is still fresh in our minds. Now, talking about how the sequence was shot is stunt co-ordinator, Hiro Koda.
Stranger Things stunt co-ordinator Hiro Koda said, “One of the bigger sequences was the sauna fight with Billy and Eleven. He was shirtless and there was a lot of wirework involved.
“We created some rigs which were not seen to create the illusion of Eleven picking him up and throwing him around. That was a lot of fun, it was a big challenge,” he added.
Hiro Koda further added how Billy was shirtless in the scene and attaching wires and cables to his body was a task. And hiding them even tougher. The team managed to achieve it with flashing lights, different camera techniques and angles.
Hiro Koda has been on Stranger Things for quite some time now. The stunt co-ordinator has some loved fights to his credit. Including, the Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and Grigori (Andrey Ivchenko) clash.
Meanwhile, Season 4 of Stranger Things is one of the most awaited affairs. The filming of the show was going as per the schedule, but the outbreak of the pandemic pushed things ahead. In this case, the release date of the season stands unclear.
