Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam To Give DC Their First Transgender Hero?

Dwayne Johnson, while being surrounded with n number of projects is making sure to have some mettle in each of his parts. The actor who is a part of several big projects is most anticipated for his DC debut film Black Adam. The Rock was incepted to play the character since 2007. As per the update today, the actor is leaving no stone unturned and is doing what has never happened in the DCEU ever. Johnson is all set to give the studio their first-ever transgender superhero. Below is everything you need to know about this exciting update.

Black Adam has been speculated to hit the DC Universe since a while now. The studio confirmed the news for the world in the FanDome this year. For the unversed, Black Adam is Shazam’s archenemy and has been introduced to the timeline in the showdown between the two. The Rock’s first look was also shared in the event, and that took his fans worldwide by storm.

If a report in We Got This Covered is to go by, Dwayne Johnson and DC are doing what they have never done. The two together are all set to introduce the very first transgender hero to the universe. The move is justified, as, by the time the movie makes it to the big screen, it would be almost 15 years that The Rock would be grinding to make the project. And a revolutionary product is expected after if the time investment is that long.

There is no confirmation on who or which character will be playing the part in the Dwayne Johnson starrer. Back when Black Adam was announced in the DC FanDome, Doctor Fate and Cyclone were the only two names that were said to be a part of the film yet. In that case a possibility of an unexpected character getting this twist is too high.

Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson was working on Black Adam rampantly just when the pandemic hit the shores. The film was scheduled to go on floors in July this year, but the schedule was pushed ahead. This also led to the studio vacating its December 2021 release date with an indefinite delay.
