Benedict Cumberbatch made his entry in Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016 with Doctor Strange. Everyone knew he is an amazing actor. But from the first film itself, the Sherlock actor impressed the audience. His first MCU was full of challenges that were tough.
Cumberbatch had to fight the mighty Dormammu. No one can forget the time loop scene between the duo. But if you think Dormammu is a problem for him in the next film, you are wrong. A supervillain is all set to return and things are going to be pretty intense for our beloved superhero. In the 2016 film, when Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Karl Mordo turns villain at the end of Doctor Strange, fans were shocked. Before Benedict’s character, it was Karl Mordo who the Ancient One trusted the most. But Karl Mordo was taken aback when he learned that Ancient One used to get her powers from the Dark Dimension.
We got to see the Master of Mystic Art in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame later. But Benedict’s 2016 film ended with a major cliffhanger. We still want to know what is going on with Dormammu and what destruction Karl Mordo will cause. Well, actor Chiwetel Ejiofor has confirmed his character’s return in the sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The actor told Comicbook that everything will be revealed in the sequel. What else did he share? Read on.
Chiwetel Ejiofor added, “He’s coming on. I’m very, very excited about that. Obviously, we’ve been sort of interrupted as the whole world has been in the pandemic but hopefully, we are back on track with that and continuing quite soon, so I’m very excited about it.”
Well, a lot of going to happen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Firstly, the film is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Secondly, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch is a part of it. And third, there are chances that one of the biggest villains Dormammu might also return like Karl Mordo. So, things are not going to be easy for Benedict Cumberbatch!
