While the maverick filmmaker Christopher Nolan gears up for the release of his much-anticipated film Tenet, the film making headlines today is his classic Inception. If the latest reports are to go by, the Oscar-Nominated heist thriller may get its spin-off anytime soon.
Inception, that released a decade ago went on to be a cult in no time. Christopher Nolan was hailed for his mind-bending thriller and the film also roared at the Box Office. As per reports, it earned a whopping $829 Million, and is till date the only one in the 20 highest-grossing films from the studio.
Over the times it is being said how Nolan doesn’t wish to visit back his work. There was also buzz that Tenet could be connected to Inception. But now if the report in We Got This Covered is to be believed, Christopher Nolan is planning a spin-off to his 2010 hit film and it is in its early stage of development.
The same report giving out more details says that the spin-off is set to take place in the same world but will concentrate on the characters. But there’s a twist, the possibility of Christopher taking the director’s chair is rare. It is being said that Jonathan Nolan, (Christopher Nolan’s brother) will direct the spin-off, while the Tenet director will write and produce. Jonathan for the unaware is the man behind HBO’s Westworld.
As for Tenet, the film that has faced the wrath of the pandemic is now reportedly releasing on September 3 in selected theatres in the US and on September 4 in China. The film stars John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Robert Pattinson, and Dimple Kapadia.
