The year 2020 has been very unkind to everyone. Last month, we lost one of the most precious artists, Chadwick Boseman, to cancer. The whole world knows him as Black Panther, thanks to his brilliant act in the Marvel film. The actor was battling stage 4 colon cancer. On August 28, he bid goodbye to everyone.
When the news of his demise came out, everyone was shocked and shattered. No one except for a handful of people had an idea that he’s fighting cancer for the past four years. Despite the illness, Chadwick has been a part of some great cinema during that time. Even his Marvel movies co-stars had no idea about colon cancer.
Everyone has been wondering why did the Black Panther star keep his illness hidden from the world. Now, Chadwick Boseman’s producing partner Logan Coles, agent Michael Greene and personal trainer Addison Henderson have told The Hollywood Reporter why the late actor kept it hidden.
Logan, Michael and Addison said that Chadwick Boseman was inspired by his mother to keep his cancer battle private. They said, “[She] always taught him not to have people fuss over him. He also felt in this business that people trip out about things, and he was a very, very private person.”
Well, that’s quite brave of the Da 5 Bloods actor!
Meanwhile, since Chadwick Boseman passed aways, fans have requested MCU not to replace him as Black Panther. They want Marvel to let Shuri take the mantle ahead from T’Challa.
