BLACKPINK’s Jisoo To Play The Female Lead In K-Drama ‘Snowdrop’; Fans Are Super Excited

It’s a happy time for the fans of Kim Ji-soo aka BLACKPINK’s Jisoo. The member of the girl band is all set to make her K-drama debut as a leading lady. The singer will star in a show tentatively titled ‘Snowdrop.’

YG Entertainment, who manages Jisoo, confirmed the report to a South Korean website. This won’t be the first time Jisoo has appeared in a show. She earlier made a cameo appearance in ‘The Producers’ which aired last year. She also made a special appearance in Arthdal Chronicles (2019).

Talking to the South Korean website, YG Entertainment said, “It is true that Jisoo is starring in the new drama Snowdrop.” As per reports, ‘Snowdrop’ will be written by ‘SKY Castle’ screenwriter and director duo Yoo Hyun Mi and Jo Hyun Tak. ‘SKY Castle’ has been acclaimed for its high-quality writing and production.

Fans are ecstatic to see Jisoo in all her acting glory. A few have taken to Twitter sharing their excitement.

For the unversed, BLACKPINK made their debut in the 2016 and became one of the most successful K-pop girl-bands. The group consist of four girls namely Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. They are all set to collaborate with Selena Gomez for their second pre-single on August 28. Their first pre-single, ‘How You Like That’ has already set five Guinness Book of Records. The full-length album will be unveiled in October this year.
