Chris Evans bid goodbye to Captain America and Marvel Cinematic Universe last year with Avengers: Endgame. After appearing in 7 movies as Steve Rogers or Cap, his contract with MCU ended with Endgame. It was not easy for fans to come to terms that Chris won’t be a part of Marvel films anymore.
From Captain America: The First Avenger to Avengers: Endgame, Chris played his character with conviction and honesty. That’s exactly why fans can’t imagine anyone else playing Cap. But playing such a crucial character isn’t a cakewalk. So, in our Avengers: Endgame trivia #55 today, we will tell you the difficulty Evans faced while shooting in his Captain America suit.
This revelation was made years ago by his co-star Jeremy Renner aka Hawkeye. While talking about the suits different actors wear, Jeremy shared how the cowl Captain America wears used to give Chris Evans migraine. Renner told Comicbook movie, “Even from Captain America to Avengers, they worked their way through looking great and functioning great. I have one of the easiest costumes compared to the other guys, Chris Evans being one of the [harder ones]. The cowl on his head, any time you put it on, the thing gave him a migraine. It hit weird pressure points. But you have to work out the details to have it look great and function great.”
Meanwhile, in Avengers: Endgame, the makers gave a happy ending to Steve Rogers. In the film, when Captain America goes back in time to place the infinity stones during the climax, he gives up on his superpowers. We get to see Chris Evans in an old avatar. It was indeed an emotional moment for the entire fandom.
It’s kind of sad that Chris Evans won’t be donning the Captain America suit anymore. But a lot of fans are demanding for a solo film starring him as they think Captain America: Civil War wasn’t Chris’ third standalone film. So we never know. If the actor or Marvel change their minds, Avengers: Endgame won’t be his last MCU film.
