Amber Heard got married to Johnny Depp in 2015. The duo had a lavish wedding but ugly details from it were let out soon. It all happened when their marriage turned into a nasty public affair. The Aquaman actress accused her then-husband of domestic violence and physical assault.
Post filing a divorce, it all soon turned into a legal battle. In fact, details from their infamous fight in 2015 seemed like a film to many. Audios, leaked pictures of Amber Heard leaked online and fuelled everything further. While the actress all long levied allegations on Johnny Depp, her leaked audio of claiming to be physically abusive herself changed the entire scenario. All that is known, but do you know of the amount she got as a settlement?
The Justice League actress received a whopping $7 million on the divorce settlement with Johnny Depp. But also, another interesting fact comes here. Amber Heard used none of it for herself. She promised to donate the money to 2 charities – American Civil Liberties Union and the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

The Children’s Hospital officials even acknowledged the actress’ donation. A public statement that they released read, “We are honoured to acknowledge our extraordinary donors for their generosity during fiscal year 2017. On behalf of all the children and families whose lives you have impacted, and everything at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, we offer our sincere thanks.” Amber reportedly donated a sum between $1-5 million to them.
Later on, Amber Heard even released a statement regarding her settlement money from Johnny Depp.
“As described in the restraining order and divorce settlement, money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully, help those less able to defend themselves,” shared the actress.
