With Avengers: Endgame, Chris Evans ended his fantastic journey as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With this 2019 film, the Knives Out actor’s contract ended with MCU. Chris has bid goodbye to Steve Rogers and Cap but fans are not ready to move on. So hold your horses, Evans fans. There’s good news for y’all!
Remember when Chris Evans had said that he will think of returning as Captain America ONLY if the material is right? Well, looks like that might happen with a Disney+ series. We all know that MCU now has the rights of X-Men characters. Even though Marvel President Kevin Feige failed to convince Hugh Jackman to return as Wolverine, they are planning to go ahead and make a Disney+ series. But it’s not known yet who will play the role of the clawed superhero.
As reported by WeGotThisCovered, the Disney Plus series is still in the early stages so nothing much is out yet. But their sources revealed that the show titled Weapon X will have Chris Evans playing Captain America again. Weapon X will show flashbacks of Wolverine from World War 2 and he will be fighting side-by-side with Steve Rogers aka Cap.
If that really happens, it would be a dream come true for all Chris Evans fans. After all, who doesn’t want to see one of our favourite OG Avengers reprising their character?
Along with Weapon X, Chris Evans will lend his voice to Captain America in Marvel’s Disney+ animated series titled, What If… The series will show us what the life of our superheroes and villains will be in different multiverses.
