Salma Hayek is one of the most popular and successful actresses in the world. Besides her remarkable acting, the 53-year-old actress is also known for her clear and glowing skin.
You can say it’s in the genes, as the Frida actress is Mexican and American. Hayek is pretty active on Instagram and often shares makeup-free pictures and selfies. Today, we are going to be talking about her skincare routine.
In a conversation with Glamour, Salma Hayek revealed that “my beauty routine, and how I see beauty is from what I’ve learned from my grandmother”.
Look at this skin, we mean.
Hayek once revealed to the New York Times that she doesn’t perform morning cleanse instead believe in her nighttime routine. “My grandmother taught me that at night, your skin replenishes all the things you lost during the day. Also, if I cleanse very well at night, why would it be dirty when I wake up?”
The Frida actress uses rose water and apply the cream directly to the face in the morning. Hayek is totally into hydration, oils and serum and uses it according to her skin on that very day.
Salma Hayek is very gentle on her skin and doesn’t exfoliate it too much. “Exfoliating a lot may make you look good in the short term, but not I think in the long term,” she told the NY Times.
Also, like any other Indian the Frida actress swears by coconut oil. Hayek always makes sure to remove her makeup at night before going to bed and “Then I use rose water to take off the residuals. You can use a hot towel with the rose water—you put a wet towel in the microwave—to do a little steam,” she told the NY Times. “I’ll use the chamomile cleanser from Nuance. Then I splash with cold water.”
Isn’t this easy and pretty affordable?
