Insidious: Out Of The Further, the sixth film in the franchise, had a strong start at the box office in North America. On its release day, August 21. The film pushed Spider-Man: Brand New Day out of its #1 spot in the North American box office rankings. However, over the next two days, the film slipped to #2 and then to #3 on Sunday. However, the film was made on a smaller budget and might not struggle despite a dip in initial collections.

According to Box Office Mojo‘s data, the Hollywood film collected $10.6 million on its opening day at the box office in North America. It includes an estimated $3 million in the Thursday previews at the domestic box office. It even pushed the MCU blockbuster Spider-Man: Brand New Day from the top spot at the North American box office, after the film had dominated it since its release. However, on day 2, Insidious saw a 19% drop in collections, bringing in $8.62 million. On Sunday, it dipped further to $6.02 million, pushing it to the third spot behind The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day at the North American box office. The film’s total domestic box office stands at $25.3 million.

At the domestic box office, Insidious: Out of the Further earned a cume of $25.3 million. It was unable to surpass the total collection of its previous installment, The Red Door, which earned $33 million in its opening weekend. Out Of The Further has become the franchise’s 3rd-biggest opening weekend, behind Chapter 2 and The Red Door.
