It collected an estimated $13.4 million on its three-day re-release opening weekend at the Chinese box office. It includes $2.2 million on Sunday, but the film declined by almost 48% from Saturday. The film recorded one of the biggest opening weekends for comic book movies post-COVID.

Avengers: Endgame Encore has also recorded the 3rd biggest re-release debut weekend ever among Hollywood movies in China. It missed Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone‘s $13.7 million re-release debut weekend gross by a hair. The film is thus behind Avatar’s $21.2 million and the re-release debut weekends of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in China. It has already secured $185k in pre-sales for Monday, when it will be playing in over 62k screenings.
