1) Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s Highest Opener:
Ranbir and Deepika whose magical chemistry was the most impressive bit of the film saw the film as their highest opening ever, with 19.45 Crores at the Domestic Box Office ! While Ranbir’s Rockstar was his last highest opening which stood at a total of 11 crores on its opening day, Deepika’s highest opening before YJHD was Race 2 that saw an opening of 15.10 crores. They both have finally established themselves as familiar Bollywood faces in the overseas market with this film. The film is recorded as both of their highest opening in key international circuits.

Race 2, which starred John Abraham and Saif Ali Khan in main roles, had sustained itself at the Numero Uno position at the domestic box office till it got toppled by YJHD’s opening. Race 2 that had an opening of 15.10 crores was beaten by YJHD’s opening of 19.45 crores.
4) 2013’s Biggest Opener in Overseas Market:
The film emerged as 2013’s Biggest opening in all crucial circuits in the global markets. The film impressed audiences all over, U.K, U.S.A and Australia and mostly G.C.C countries.
5) 2013’s Highest 1st Weekend Domestic Box office:
YJHD managed for itself the highest opening weekend this year. The film by the conclusion of its first weekend earned 62.11 crores in its first weekend itself.
6) 2013’s Highest 1st Weekend Overseas Box Office :
The Ayan Mukherji directorial recorded the highest 1st weekend collections in the overseas market too.
7) Highest Day 6 (Wednesday) Collections Record:
The film went on to collect the highest collections on its sixth day as placed in comparison with any film ever. The film on its First Wednesday saw the least drop ever recorded by a film after passing through five days of tremendous collections!
8) Ranbir beats his own record in UAE:
After important Bollywood Superstars, Ranbir had recorded the highest box office collections in the G.C.C region, especially U.A.E. Ranbir mildly escalated up the success ladder in UAE. With Rockstar having collected 500,00 AED and Barfi that recorded 600,000 AED, YJHD recorded a new high for Ranbir with 900,000 AED!
9) YJHD Beat Dabangg 2’s Delhi Record on Day 1
Salman fans, don’t hate us! But this actually happened. In Salman’s stronghold circuit, Delhi, Ranbir Kapoor recorded an opening day collection higher than Dabangg Khan’s himself for his last film Dabangg 2.
10) 100 crores in 6 days and half:
To its credit, the film did not release on any public holiday. But with its release it claimed its way to success. The film in 6 days earned a cumulative collection of 98.11 crores and by the first half of its 7th day, the film has finally earned its 100 crores!
