Udta Teer secures a decent showcasing
As mentioned above, a pool of new Hindi releases has been unleashed today. Besides them, holdovers like Coolie and Drishyam 3 are also in the mix. With so many films around, the opening-day show count has been impacted for Ayushmann’s film, but it has still secured a decent showcasing with 6,678 shows across India. The average ticket price is around 240 rupees, making it affordable for moviegoers.
Udta Teer grosses above 1 crore through day 1 advance bookings
As per the final day 1 advance booking update, Udta Teer sold 41.75K tickets (excluding blocked seats) before the first show started. In terms of collections, it grossed 1.12 crore at the Indian box office through opening-day pre-sales. In net collections, it equals 95 lakh. These numbers are fair, and now over to over-the-counter ticket sales.

Udta Teer isn’t an advance-booking-friendly film and will be dependent on word-of-mouth. Since early reactions have been positive so far, the film is expected to cover the distance through walk-ins. All in all, it is expected to score 3.5-4.5 crore net at the Indian box office on day 1, getting off to some sort of start.
Since early reviews and audience reactions are favorable, there’s a chance Udta Teer could score at the higher end of the prediction. With this, it might enter Ayushmann Khurrana’s top 3 openers in the post-COVID era, overtaking Pati Patni Aur Woh Do (4.38 crore).
