Toxic has emerged as a major failure at the Indian box office. After a fantastic start, the film couldn’t maintain the momentum, and collections nosedived from the second day onwards. Speaking about the most important Hindi version, it has minted underwhelming numbers, and it seems that despite a start of over 50 crore, it is heading for a lifetime collection of less than 150 crore net. The period gangster action thriller dropped below the 1 crore mark in daily collections during the second weekend. On the second Friday, day 10, it scored 85 lakh. It was followed by 90 lakh on Saturday, day 11. On Sunday, day 12, it scored 85 lakh, pushing the second weekend total to just 2.6 crore. Overall, the Hindi version has earned 142.95 crore net at the Indian box office, which equals 168.68 crore gross.
