Toxic Box Office Day 1 (Early Trends): Yash Delivers His 2nd 100 Crore Opening & The 6th Biggest Opening For Indian Cinema’s History!

History has been made and records have been broken by Yash, with Toxic bringing a rampage at the box office with its opening day collection. Returning to the silver screen after a long hiatus following the massive triumph of K.G.F: Chapter 2, the pan-India superstar has unleashed absolute mayhem with the Geetu Mohandas film crossing the 100 crore mark net collection in India, on its opening day itself!

2nd Consecutive 100 Crore Opening By Yash!

Yash is gianting like a beast at the box office, delivering the second consecutive 100 crore film at the box office. He started the trend with KGF Chapter 2, and might continue it with Ramayana, this year, making it three 100 crore openers by the actor!

Toxic Box Office Day 1 Estimates – All Languages

As per the early trends, Toxic on Wednesday, August 26, delivered an opening in range of 102 – 105 crore at the box office. This includes the collection from Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil versions of the film. It registered an occupancy of 54.4% in the theaters for around 24,500 shows on the opening day in India!

6th Biggest Indian Opening In History!

By breaching the 100 crore mark on Day 1, Yash has comfortably entered the list of top openers of all time, dethroning Prabhas starrers Kalki 2898 AD (95.30 crore), Salaar (90.70 crore), Adipurush (86.75 crore), and Saaho (84.75 crore) to claim the sixth spot in the list!

Yash now stands alongside SS Rajamouli and Prabhas as one of the extremely rare forces in Indian cinema history to deliver multiple 100 crore domestic openers in India.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups brings together Rocking Star Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi, with Akshay Oberoi and Sudev Nair also playing key roles. The film combines Geetu Mohandas’ distinctive vision with a powerful ensemble, ambitious action and Yash’s much-awaited return to the big screen, with Hollywood action director JJ Perry also contributing to key action sequences.
