Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut, Sigma, is witnessing a slow start at the box office. The Tamil film was released in theaters on October 2 along with new releases Baththa and Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai. While Sigma had a decent start at the box office, the film failed to sustain the momentum. The film is now likely to wrap under 10 crore at the box office.

How Much Did Sigma Earn At The Box Office In 6 Days?

The film, directed by Thalapathy Vijay‘s son, Jason, has drawn the attention of audiences. Fans of the superstar were curious to see his son’s debut film. However, the curiosity did not translate to box office numbers beyond the opening day. While the film opened with 2.35 crore net, it declined from Day 2 onward. On its first Wednesday, the film earned 71 lakh against 1,377 shows with an occupancy rate of 17%.

The net total for Sigma after 6 days is 7.61 crore, which equals 8.98 crore gross. The film will have one more week of uninterrupted run before Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 takes theaters by storm from October 15. Therefore, Sigma is likely to wrap up just under 10 crore, marking a box-office flop.

Day-Wise Box Office Collection Of Sigma

  • Day 1 – 2.35 crore
  • Day 2 – 1.5 crore
  • Day 3 – 1.5 crore
  • Day 4 – 84 lakh
  • Day 5 – 75 lakh
  • Day 6 – 71 lakh

Total – 7.61 crore

How Much Does It Need To Surpass Sundeep Kishan’s Last Release?

Jason Sanjay’s film is headlined by actor Sundeep Kishan. His last film as a solo lead was Mazaka. The film also had a single-digit net total in its lifetime. The film, which was released in theaters in February 2025, earned 9.6 crore net in India. Sigma needs another 2 crore to surpass Mazaka. While it’s a difficult task for Sigma, it is not unachievable.
