After the release of Article 370, the next noteworthy Bollywood film is Shaitaan. The film stars Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan in the lead roles, and if not high, there are some expectations pinned on it. Amid the countdown to its arrival in theatres, the advance booking for the film has already started, and here’s the report for day 1!
The trailer hits the bull’s eye!
A few days back, the trailer of the film was unveiled, and it has managed to strike a chord with viewers. After the super success of Drishyam 2, Ajay’s return as a family man feels good. Talking about the promo, it’s spine-chilling due to its creepy elements and the overall theme. R Madhavan, as a baddie, comes off as the major attraction.

Advance booking status of Shaitaan
Yesterday, the advance booking of Shaitaan was opened at limited locations. Today, some more shows have been added to the online ticket-booking platforms. As per the latest update, for day 1, around 4,115 tickets have been sold all across the country. It equals a collection of 9.80 lakh gross (excluding blocked seats).
It’s a fair start, and as of now, Shaitaan is in the wait-and-watch situation. There are 5 days remaining for the film’s release, so there’s enough time to pick up the pace. As the trailer has received positive response from all over, the advance booking is expected to bring in a good number. Even a final number of around 3-3.5 crore would be good as this horror thriller is majorly a word-of-mouth driven affair.
More about Shaitaan
The film is directed by Vikas Bahl, who is well known for his films like Queen and Super 30. Scheduled to release on 8th March, the film also stars Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala, and Anngad Raaj in key roles.
