Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan’s Shaitaan is enjoying its glorious ride at the Indian box office. After a strong opening weekend, the momentum was maintained on weekdays, and now, again during the second weekend, the film is in acceleration mode. On day 9, i.e., on the second Saturday, an impressive jump was recorded, and below is all you need to know!
This Vikas Bahl directorial has once again highlighted the importance of a well-cut and impactful trailer. Considering the genre of horror thriller, there was no scope for chartbuster music, but the film attracted the audience due to its strong star cast and trailer. On top of that, the content mainly received positive reactions. So, it could be said that the film ticked almost all the boxes.
Shaitaan entered the second week by maintaining a hold. Despite Yodha and Bastar’s release, a collection of 5.12 crores came in on Friday. Due to positivity around the film, a good jump was on the cards on the second Saturday, and that’s what exactly happened. As per early trends flowing in, the horror thriller has earned 7.95-8.25 crores on day 9. If compared with day 8’s 5.12 crores, it’s a jump of 55.27-61.13%.

After adding early trends, the grand total at the Indian box office stands at 94.67-94.97 crores.
Today, Shaitaan has a strong chance to cross 10 crores and even it’ll enter the 100 crore club at the Indian box office. So, after Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter, Bollywood has got its second 100 crore net grosser, and it’s a good sign before we gear up for a mega Eid clash between Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan.
After the debacle of Bholaa, Shaitaan has turned out to be a big relief for Ajay Devgn. The halo effect will definitely help his Maidaan. Again, even the trailer of Maidaan has been received, so it’ll be interesting to see how big it opens at the Indian box office.
