Karthi starrer Sardar 2’s box office performance is not going as expected. The film was released amid much hype and expectations. However, upon release, the film received mixed-to-negative reviews. The reviews led to a gradual decline in box office collections. The film has now crashed on its first Monday and is set for box office failure.

The Karthi-starrer had a decent start at the box office, with a net collection of 4.5 crore in India. The film clashed with Soori’s Mandaadi and scored behind it on opening day. Despite securing more shows, the Karthi film could not win the clash against Soori’s film. The film has seen a steady decline since Day 2. Over its opening weekend, the daily collections were nearly half of its opening day collection.
The net total of Sardar 2 after 5 days stands at 13.1 crore, which equals 15.46 crore gross. Overseas, the film has performed poorly, earning just 4.5 crore gross. The worldwide gross total stands at 19.96 crore. The film has also lost more than 1,000 shows in just 5 days.

Overall, Mandaadi is 245% ahead of Sardar 2 after 5 days.
