Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali had slow advance bookings in North America. It was predicted that the film’s collections would be impacted by Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2. However, the film has also crashed at the box office as it enters the weekday period.
The Telugu period drama was expected to mark Vijay Deverakonda’s grand comeback at the box office. However, at its current pace, it looks like the film will struggle to surpass the North American closing collection of Vijay’s previous release, Kingdom. Despite a strong start, that film eventually underperformed at the box office. At the current pace, the overseas collections of Vijay and Rashmika’s latest film are heading for a disastrous finish.
Ranabaali North America Box Office
Including premieres, Ranabaali posted an opening-day collection of just $437K. On Saturday, Day 2, it grossed $166K, down from its actual Day 1 collection of $175K, rather than showing growth. It dropped further on Sunday, collecting $97K. On its first Monday, the film’s box office plunged to just $35K, marking a 92% drop from its opening-day total.

Overall, the film earned just $739K in four days at the box office, equivalent to approximately 6.97 crore in Indian currency. Vijay Deverakonda‘s last release, Kingdom, grossed $1.76 million despite poor word-of-mouth. Unfortunately, Vijay’s latest release is unlikely to come close to Kingdom’s closing collection. In fact, it is expected to finish with a total only slightly above Kingdom’s premiere collections, which stood at $933K.
How Much Does Ranabaali Need To Earn To Break Even In North America?
It has been reported that Ranabaali needs to gross $2.2 million to break even at the North American box office, equivalent to approximately 20.87 crore in Indian currency. While the target initially appeared achievable during its theatrical run, the film’s average word-of-mouth has made the task increasingly difficult. At its current pace, the film is turning into a major disappointment for its distributors.
More About The Film
