Premalu has definitely slowed down at the worldwide box office, and it’s just a matter of a few more days. Still, it has achieved some exciting feats, and the latest one is that the lifetime collection of Mohanlal’s 2019 blockbuster, Lucifer, has been crossed. Premalu completes 50 days in theatres
The year 2024 so far has been phenomenal for the Malayalam film industry, and this romantic comedy has been one of the major successes on the list. With all the love and support from the audience, it completed a glorious 50 days in theatres yesterday. And it’s interesting to see that the film has made one last stride in the record books on this auspicious occasion.
Premalu at the worldwide box office
Premalu entered the 8th week yesterday, and though it scored lower than 0.50 crore, it did just enough to achieve a big milestone. As per the latest update, a total of 72.50 crores net has been achieved at the Indian box office. Including the taxes, the gross collection in India stands at 85.55 crores. In the overseas market, a collection of 43 crores gross has been recorded. Combining both Indian and overseas gross, the worldwide box office total stands at 128.55 crores gross.

Surpasses Mohanlal’s Lucifer
With a global sum of 128.55 crores gross, Premalu has surpassed Lucifer’s lifetime collection of 128 crores gross and has become the 4th highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time. The film will end its journey in the same position as surpassing the next film, Pulimurugan (140 crores gross), is not possible.
