The Kannada film Premada Oorali has surprised everyone with its box office performance. The film had a small-scale release, with just 60 shows, but is now playing in over 1000 shows across the country. The film’s single-day collection peaked at 8 crore on its third Sunday. Now, it is eyeing new targets at the box office despite new releases.

Can It Beat Su From So?

Premada Oorali began its golden run at the box office only in its third week. More shows were added in the third week, and the film seems set to perform well in the upcoming week. It is now just 20 crore short of surpassing Raj Shetty’s highest-grosser, Su From So (2025). The film earned 92.33 crore net at the Indian box office.

At the current pace, Premada Oorali can easily surpass Su From So. However, it also faces a threat from Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, which has secured a massive screen count in South India. However, given Premada Oorali’s box office run, theater owners in Karnataka may continue to retain the film’s screens. It remains to be seen how the film fares in its fourth week.
