Yami Gautam’s latest film, Nayyi Navelli, has entered its second week at the box office. The film is progressing rather slowly at the box office. It had a decent opening weekend despite releasing during a crowded festive weekend. However, the film witnessed a drop on weekdays. As a result, it lost several shows as it entered its second week.
Yami Gautam’s festive release also stars Adinath Kothare in the primary role. Directed by Balaji Mohan, the mythical film blends fantasy elements with mythology. However, the film lost steam during its first week amid mixed reviews.

On its second Friday, the film earned just 60 lakh at the box office across 1,258 shows. During its first week, the film had over 4,000 shows across India. This represents a sharp 72% drop in the number of shows assigned to the movie. This is a bad sign for the film, which is now expected to decline. After eight days, the film earned 22.75 crore net at the Indian box office, which translates to 26.85 crore gross.

Mohini (Yami Gautam) marries Raja Awasthi (Adinath Kothare) and moves into his large, chaotic joint-family household in Meerut during the Dussehra festive period. Mohini immediately charms the family and miraculously fixes various household problems. However, Raja’s nosy, skeptical brother, Bantu (Anurag Thakur), grows deeply suspicious of her perfection and begins to believe she is a daayan (witch).
The film also stars Mita Vashisht, Sushmita Mukherjee, Sunita Rajwar, Sonal Jha, Rajesh Dubey, Prateek Pachauri, and Aaditya Kulshreshth. Balaji Mohan has directed the movie and co-written the script with Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma. It is produced by Aanand L. Rai, Himanshu Sharma, and Ashish Tandel under the banners of Amazon MGM Studios and Colour Yellow Productions.
